Astăzi împlinesc 20 de ani.
La această vârstă Platon a devenit discipol lui Socrate, sfântul Antonie cel mare a pus bazele monahismului creștin, iar scriitoare engleză Mary Shelley a publicat pentru prima dată romanul său, Frankenstein.
Nu mă pot egala cu monumentalitatea persoanelor menționate mai sus, dar doresc să dedic aceste câteva cuvinte micilor mele realizări și povețe pe care le-am acumulat până la atingerea acestei vârste.
Sunt recunoscător că am ales de la 17 ani să renunț la rețelele de socializare (social media) și televizor, înlocuindu-le cu tabieturi mai sănătoase care au în prim-plan dezvoltarea mea personală și culturală. Sunt recunoscător, de-asemenea, că am decis să îmi dedic mai mult timp dezvoltării obiceiurilor și aptitudinilor mele, cum ar fi desenatul, învățarea limbilor străine și așezarea gândurilor și emoțiilor mele pe hârtie – ceea ce a dus eventual la crearea acestei pagini web.
Într-un final, nu regret nicio clipă că am decis să studiez Biblia, filosofia și scrierile unor autori precum Platon, Marc Aureliu și Sfântul Augustin de Hipona, lucru care mi-a fost de un ajutor enorm nu numai în viața cotidiană, dar și în studiile mele atât în mediul școlar, precum și în domeniile în care sunt autodidact.
Mai departe, fraţilor, câte sunt adevărate, câte sunt de cinste, câte sunt drepte, câte sunt curate, câte sunt vrednice de iubit, câte sunt cu nume bun, orice virtute şi orice laudă, la acestea să vă fie gândul.
Cele ce aţi învăţat şi aţi primit şi aţi auzit şi aţi văzut la mine, acestea să le faceţi, şi Dumnezeul păcii va fi cu voi.

Today is my 20th birthday.
It was at this age that Plato became a disciple of Socrates, that saint Anthony the Great started the foundation of Christian monasticism, and that english novelist Mary Shelley published for the first time her novel, Frankenstein.
I cannot compete with the monumentality of the people mentioned above, but I wish to dedicate a few words to my own small feats and learnings I have gathered up until now.
I am grateful for having chosen since I turned 17 to stop using social media and watching TV, replacing them with much healthier hobbies, ones that are focused on my personal and cultural development. I am also grateful for having chosen to spend more time on my hobbies and passions, like drawing, learning foreign languages, and putting my thoughts on paper – which eventually lead to the creation of this very website.
Finally, I do not regret ever chosing to study the Bible and the philosophy and works of authors, such as Plato, Marcus Aurelius, and Saint Augustine of Hippo, which has been beneficial not only in my daily experiences, but also in my own studies in school and academia, and likewise in the domains that I am self-taught.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
